The location is ideal, just a 15‑minute walk to Zhangjiajie National Park; the beds are huge, there’s a fountain for filling water bottles, the rooftop and entrance are very pleasant and well‑designed, and the staff are very welcoming and helpful, making it easy to meet other travelers; however, the shower and toilets are very old, cramped together in the same room, so it’s not very clean and stays very damp, the address isn’t quite accurate—you have to go down the small street just before the listed address on the left, and on Amap you should look for Wulingyuan Yunye Hotel (Forest Park Symbol Salesroom) – 武陵源云野酒店(森林公园标志门店).

“Black mold.”

The common area was nice and the location good, yet I booked three nights and only stayed one, paid 330 yuan and got 80 back; the dormitory room was neglected, smelled musty on entry, had black mold on the AC duct, and the next day after a hike I found a lot of mold covering the window behind the curtain.

The hotel’s location is great, just a 10‑minute walk from the park entrance and not far from the Literie Grande restaurant, but the rooms and bathrooms could use a little refurbishment.

The crew here really went out of their way to help plan my outings, and the cats roaming the lounge added a cute touch. The common areas are roomy and the rooftop gives a fantastic view, which I spent a lot of time on. Only downside was the duvet in my room – it had a noticeable mouldy smell that was hard to ignore.
