“Extraordinaria estancia”
The cabins and Gus were fantastic, making you feel at home and part of the island culture. Nothing else, just remember that Holbox has mosquitoes and there’s nothing you can do about it.

The staff were delightful, helped us and recommended many things, and the cabin is very pretty, with a private pool in a very quiet spot. It is a bit far from Holbox town and the coffee maker there is quite rusty.

It’s nice and quiet, but it’s too far from town, requiring a very long walk to both the town and the ferry.

Logement au top, très agréable pour y séjourner plusieurs jours. Gus a été un hôte formidable, très à l’écoute et de très bons conseils. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour un séjour !

Gus was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, giving us great tips on where to go, shop, and eat. The pool area is nice, but unfortunately you can't enjoy it because of the sheer number of mosquitoes. The property is quite far from the city center, and the paths were completely muddy and impassable on foot, even though it hadn’t rained in days, so you have to rely on a taxi to get to and from the center. Being so remote, there’s a lot of vegetation, which means mosquitoes bite you relentlessly. The cabin was decorated in an old colonial style, something you might imagine the early Montejo would have arranged when he arrived in the 16th century. Taking a shower feels like a balancing act, trying to aim the little stream of water that falls, which of course isn’t hot.
