“Sind nach heftigem Streit in ein besseres Hotel umgezogen!”

The accommodation was nicely furnished. However, we were denied access to the room because we wanted to pay only at the end of the stay. There was no breakfast, and the room lacked a shower or toilet—everything was on the hallway! The reception was a disaster: no one was on duty, we had to check in by phone, and our confirmation wasn’t even present. All negotiations were done over the phone, and the landlord’s tone, a Bulgarian, grew harsher and angrier. Nothing was agreed upon.

The location was quite good, and the breakfast was generous and always well stocked, yet the cleanliness was lacking: on the first day we had breakfast, but on the second day crumbs from the previous day still lay on the table, and the cookies had expired in April; the skylight in the room had a huge tear and parts of the first pane were missing.

The place was quiet and pleasant, but there was no dinner option nearby and everything was closed.

The surroundings are nice, but the hotel sits directly on the street beside a bridge where heavy trucks pass.
