We were very well received by Vilma and the team. Breakfast was very good, rooms were clean and the location is great, close to markets and a few km from the square. We had an unexpected issue with the room that has a door as a divider with another room. The acoustics of the room were compromised on both sides of the "wall". Because we didn’t feel comfortable, we asked to change rooms and were attended immediately.

The staff were polite. The noise from the largest gym in Trancoso was unbearable; it was right next to the wall beside the lodge, starting at 6:00 with dance and music classes at full volume. We paid for three nights and left the next morning, and the staff said other guests had done the same, waking up to the noise and leaving. We contacted Ana, the person the staff referred us to for cancelling the remaining nights, and she was also polite but said she could do nothing and that I had to resolve it with Booking. In the end, we ripped up almost 3,000 reais, abandoned the remaining nights, and had to pay another lodge to stay.

We loved everything: the location, the wonderful coffee, the super friendly baristas who gave us plenty of tour tips, the room was super comfortable, overall I adored everything and the city – we’ll be back soon.
