Overall a nice place to stay with a lovely view of vegetable fields and support for local produce; the bed was comfortable and the room clean. However, it’s far from town, the road gets sketchy in rain, bedside tables are missing, the door doesn’t close properly, and the bathroom had an odor that cleared once the window was opened.

Breakfast and dinner are good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, but the hotel is very remote, accessed by a rough dirt road, the rooms feel old and uncozy, nights were cold, the bathroom is outdated with a shower that shares space and a leaking water heater that drips onto everything, so I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

“Vorrei ma non posso”

The garden looked gorgeous, but we couldn’t use it because of the bad weather. The staff were friendly, yet English communication was very difficult. The bathroom was clean. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience in Sri Lanka. Our room was quite dirty, with hair and stains on the floor. Nuwara Eliya is generally cold and humid, and there was no heating; blankets were only for the night, but the cold and dampness lingered throughout the stay. In the bathroom, although clean, the drain made a loud noise; we reported it in the morning, but no repair attempt was made and we had to fix it ourselves temporarily. Breakfast was barely adequate, with low‑quality products. The address on Booking was wrong (we told the staff), the location was far from the center, and the road to the property was disastrous.
