The private onsen and room were very clean. The staff were kind and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were amazing—really delicious. I just wish I had stayed longer.

The value for money was decent. For me, the cleanliness rating also covers the terrace with the private onsen, where I found spider webs and many bugs. I asked the hotel to clean it and spray something against the insects; they did it, but the bugs keep coming. I’ve stayed at several similar onsen hotels with outdoor hot springs in nature, and I never had insect issues. So if you’re like me and are scared of bugs, this isn’t the place for you. I even found a couple of bugs in the public male onsen, so I haven’t been there a second time. Considering how big the structure is and the space they have available, I wish they had a better gym; it was very, very basic.
