“La vera differenza? James!”
If there were a rating scale higher than 10, James would definitely earn it. The room was perfect, the guest house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly makes the difference is James. He is much more than a host; he’s one of those people who makes you feel at home and, by the end of your stay, almost like a new friend. He starts looking after you even before you arrive, always available with advice, recommendations, and helpful tips to make the most of your time in Cape Town. Every detail is taken care of, and his genuine warmth, kindness, and attention make the whole experience truly special. We especially appreciated how thoughtful he was throughout our stay, from recommending a restaurant to helping us navigate the city and ensuring everything went well. Cheviot Place is a beautiful guest house, but James is what makes it truly special. Thank you from the heart, James, for the wonderful welcome and for making our stay in Cape Town even more beautiful. We’ll return!

James, the owner, is very welcoming, attentive to guests, and offers solid advice for our tours. The house is lovely and well‑situated with a parking spot right outside. The breakfast is generous and excellent. The room is spacious, comfortable, quiet, and comes with a safe. Thanks to James and his staff.
The accommodation is great, with a warm welcome, daily room service, and a very good breakfast. James gives excellent tips.
