The place was clean, the room’s AC worked well, and the security was good. It felt suffocating, the bed and bedding were uncomfortable, the small porch and the bathroom outside the room were like an oven at over 30 °C. Water was scarce, so we had to buy large bottles. There was a lot of mold in the shower and bathroom wall. Breakfast was poor; the owner or someone else brought a box of pastries – only one per person. The terrace faced a closed courtyard, the neighborhood was disappointing and far from any points of interest. Parking near the hotel was very hard to find, so it’s better not to have a car in Palermo.

We booked a single night to catch an early‑morning train to the airport, and the location did its job: the apartment sits just around the corner from the station, a five‑minute stroll away. The rooms were simple but spotless, which was fine for a one‑night layover. The neighborhood feels a bit sketchy at times, so I wouldn’t stay here for a longer Palermo vacation, but if you only need a place to sleep before an early train it’s convenient. The host didn’t meet us in person at check‑in and came across a little prickly about a few minor details, yet he was communicative overall and our stay went smoothly enough. He could have been more polite, but at least he was responsive; perhaps his behavior stemmed from cultural or class differences he wasn’t aware of.

The timing wasn’t always great—there was a mix‑up with our arrival and breakfast arrived later than advertised—but otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

The place was nice, the breakfast area beautiful, and the host was pleasant to deal with. The only hiccup was finding a parking spot, haha.

“A good place for a short stay in Palermo. Convenient for the station.”

The room was well sized with a very comfortable bed, and the outside terrace where you could bring your own food was very useful. It would have helped to have more information and instructions about using the kitchen, and the breakfast was quite limited.
