I arrived at the start of a city‑wide power cut, so it was going to be tough. Dale did everything he could to make me feel welcome and took care of me. The staff were fantastic, the food was fantastic… I’d definitely come back… five stars 👍👍. I didn’t like the power cut… 😂😂

The surroundings were nice, and the staff—especially during breakfast—were friendly and really tried to make us feel at ease. We barely used the facilities or staff. We arrived home tired in the evening and wanted to dine, but the chef fell ill and we had to eat at Hikkaduwa instead, which was unexpected and disappointing.

Everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent. A few things felt a bit out of place; with a modest investment, improvements like a new toilet seat or fresh soap and shampoo dispensers could give it a more upscale feel.
