“Un gran alivio”

I didn’t stay myself; I booked for my daughter attending a medical conference. She was assigned to the Monte do Gozo hostel but felt uncomfortable; they gave her a single room with a bathroom and then moved her to a shared room with four strangers. She felt overwhelmed and asked for help. I looked at options and found them very limited; the only choices were this accommodation and a 4‑star hotel 5 km from the center, which seemed very pricey at 400 euros per night without breakfast. It was all rushed and the offer scarce, yet José was very kind and helped a lot, and overall my daughter said everything was quite good, though she had a rough time at the hostel.

A particularly nice gentleman attends to every guest courteously and handles breakfast with great enthusiasm and friendliness. The rooms are adequately sized and the bathroom is clean and modern. The hotel’s location on the Porta de Camino is superb, just a few steps from the Cathedral. The price was probably at the upper limit, likely due to high booking demand in Santiago that weekend.

“Hotel muy centrico y maravilloso personal.”

The best part was the staff, especially Alba, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms.
