Close to the town centre yet surprisingly quiet. The owners were pleasant and very helpful. Victorian plumbing can be noisy at times, but it wasn’t too intrusive. Parking can be a challenge.

The breakfast was absolutely the best, simply superb. The single room was a bit small and there was nowhere to hang clothes.

We were greeted warmly on arrival and the staff helped with our luggage. They offered us a choice of two rooms and, because of sight issues, we asked for a ground‑floor room. It was cute, clean and comfortable, with plenty of tea, coffee and milk. Though the room wasn’t serviced during our stay, we were asked if we needed anything and the place was very tidy. Breakfast was lovely, with many options and an amazing omelette. The hosts were very attentive. The location is a 10‑15 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants, and we’ll definitely return.
