Aragast Hotel & Brewery

The owner is educated and pleasant to talk to. The room was clean, conveniently located, and there is parking available. They brew good beer. The only issue was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, but I think they fixed it right away!

The location is good and the staff are kind. There is no elevator, but a male staff member helps right away. A brewery is attached and they let you taste the beer; the expiration is within 7 days, so all are draft, no bottled. You can also drink there at the restaurant below. The restaurant seems to lack an espresso machine, but they made us Alma coffee. They took care of us until we left. At first glance the lodging looks simple, but it was comfortable. Breakfast is optional. Nothing in particular to note.

The inn is well situated and offers good value. The first floor hosts a brewery, the second floor has guest rooms, and there is a street‑front restaurant. We stayed three nights; after dinner on the first night we ran into the owner, and I told him in translation that I love beer, so I booked his inn. He immediately took us on a tour of his brewery and explained everything in detail using a translation app. On the last night, after dinner we returned to the inn, a teammate asked if the owner could give us a bottle of black beer to take back to our rooms, and he led us straight to the barrel and brewed a cup on the spot. He refused any payment and, via translation, told us that as we were touring Armenia he had a duty to heal us with beer.

The location was good and the staff were friendly. However, smoke from other rooms drifted through the hallway and left my room smelling of tobacco. Aside from that, it was comfortable, but the room had no air conditioning so it was cold.
