I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel - the towels and sheets smelled lovely and fresh
They even provided a toothbrush and toothpaste, which was a nice touch

“もう泊まらない”
The staff were friendly but not very attentive; when I asked to change rooms they said none were free, yet after I mentioned a broken shower they finally moved me. The room looked nothing like the photos, so future guests should be warned. After check‑in the power went out for several hours, leaving us without electricity. The first ground‑floor room they showed me faced a busy street, and strangers could see in, which felt uncomfortable. That room also had a busted shower head and no hot water, prompting the room change. In the upstairs room the door wouldn’t stay shut, so I couldn’t lock it, and the thin walls let every footstep and conversation echo loudly. Someone played music late into the night, making sleep impossible. I was told breakfast started at 7 am, but when I arrived before 8 am nobody was there and nothing was served; it turned out to be an order‑only service, and I waited almost half an hour for anything.

The room is very large and spacious, but it isn’t kept perfectly clean. The breakfast is very local in style and quite good. The cleanliness was unsatisfactory, and from the terrace (which offers a different view than the photo shows) you can’t see the lake at all. The building is generally poorly maintained, and paying with a card was impossible; after several attempts we had to withdraw cash.

The location and price quality are good. The room was changed because other guests were arriving. At the restaurant, the bill was increased for a price that wasn’t listed on the menu.

The rooms are very clean, the shower and toilet work fine. The view of Lake Kivu is nice. A small issue: the room doors only close when you lock them, but that’s not a big deal.
