“Standardzimmer trifft überhaupt nicht die erwartungen”

They showed a picture of a “Comfort” room when we booked a “Standard” room for two adults, which was already frustrating. It’s nice that the “Standard” room still kept us fairly fit, but the bed’s position against a wall and the slanted ceiling made it impossible to get into bed without doing a quick workout before sleep. This was a single room used by two people, and it was annoying that it was set up like that. We had booked a standard room for two adults, and I appreciate that you at least provided a room of the expected category for the second day. The supplied, totally undersized travel dryer even had a slightly warm air stream, so I didn’t freeze while styling my hair. The shower’s yellow‑tinted seals caused the floor to get cleaned automatically because the leak let the cleaning water spill onto the floor—great! The ceiling light was broken, which helped save electricity. The spot on the bed sheet helped us figure out who was on which side. Breakfast offered a very limited selection, so we didn’t have to decide too much. The cucumber was already dry from the previous day, and the fruit wasn’t very fresh, so we opted for a tasty slice of bread with jam and a coffee from the machine. It was also nice that there was plenty of cutlery to choose the cleanest pieces. In the end, we won’t bother you again! The communication with the owner was poor. When the owner entered the breakfast room, he should have greeted guests with a “good morning” instead of disappearing visibly upset in the kitchen. When we asked if the room could be swapped because it didn’t meet expectations, we only received curt responses. The beds were too hard for us, and begging for a change felt pointless. The parking situation outside the building is very tight. The door to the breakfast room/kitchen, which staff constantly touch, sticks with dirt, and that’s not the only problematic spot. The plates had grime from the previous user, and the best indicator is the egg spoon—if you know what I mean.

The breakfast selection was good. For a 4‑star hotel I would call it a 3‑star instead.
