When I first entered the room I booked, the smell was terrible, so I asked to be moved and the front desk staff promptly arranged for me to switch to a different Japanese‑style room; however, even at the low price, a room that reeked of something like tobacco was unacceptable, and the front desk confirmed the odor, meaning I had to pay the price difference for the change.

The location was unlike anything I’d ever seen, with an incredible view of Suruga Bay, yet insects managed to get into the bathroom; a female front‑desk employee dealt with the problem efficiently and I’m grateful for her help.
