A truly special place! A family-run pension, lovingly decorated with attention to detail. The DDR Museum and the city historical collection are free to visit and very impressive; the effort behind them is admirable. We were warmly welcomed and served a superb breakfast. A great experience!

The hospitality was very good and friendly. There were many intriguing items from the DDR era to explore and touch, but there simply wasn’t enough time to delve deeper into the two “museum rooms”. The shower water took quite a while to warm up.

The building is very old. The furnishings, and partly the exposed wiring, are somewhat “quirky”; a lot is patched together and barely holds together. There’s a large collection of old DDR objects, some in separate rooms, some scattered throughout the house. On the bright side, the host is an entertaining older gentleman.
