Al Pompiere - Wine and rooms

The ambiance was great and it was peaceful, but there weren't enough storage spaces and the mattresses weren't that great.

Al Pompiere was a huge disappointment. When we arrived after a long drive, everything was closed and a note with a phone number was taped to a door. When we called, they said all staff were sick. A key was left in a box. We couldn't leave our luggage by the front door; we had to carry it over gravel and up the stairs. For breakfast, they said someone would come at 8:00 am. We told the man on the phone that all this was unacceptable and that we would look elsewhere, and we were not willing to pay for three nights. We cannot understand how a rating of 9.3 could be given to this place.

A beautiful property with superb breakfast and very nice staff! I would love to return, it was absolutely hassle‑free and the parking was free.

“Ein Ort für Wein- und Friaulliebhaber”

The estate sits beautifully in Capriva’s wine hills; the rooms are solid and the furnishings fit. Stone floors make opening and closing doors difficult because the stones are uneven. Breakfast was very good: coffee, brioche, ham, cheese, yogurt—everything you could want. The staff were very friendly. Wine tastings were available on request, and the on‑site shop had a fridge; glasses were provided. The farm with lounge chairs and plenty of quiet and view was wonderful. The number of lounge chairs (3 for 4 double rooms) should be increased. It would also be nice to have a pool; there is enough space. I’d gladly come back anytime!
