“Staff were helpful we watch tv and slept and woke.”

It was close to where we wanted to go and the price was fair, but the steps were a hassle, the key had no bath mat in the slippery bathroom and shower, there were no handrails, the soap holder basin looked like it might fall off, the blankets had lost their softness, and the walls needed a scrub.

The place was clean, comfortable, and easy to get to, though it felt a bit dated but still very tidy for its age.

Location. Where do I start? After a gruelling 2+hr drive in bad weather after a work day, I arrived in the dark to a Motel with NO 'lit up' signage. Had to phone prior to enquire where the key would be as I would be checking in at night time, as stated in booking. [Usually there is an email with instructions for late check ins] .Key was under the mat but had to fumble in the dark as the exterior light doesn't turn on until you are inside. Dropped my gear off and headed off to my event nearby. 2.Next morning; first thing I see is Shampoo bottles handwritten in texta (photo) - very downmarket 👇 NO SOAP to take a shower 🤬 only a dispenser attached to the wall at the basin. 3.Back in the bedroom - the leatherette Bedhead is peeling (photo) and there are 4.Cigarette burns in the Bedspread (photo) 5.Sit down to put my shoes on the worn out Sofa that needs replacing (photo) 6.In need of Tea, hard to find but eventually found a box with only Black tea and Coffee, NO Green tea (not expensive) 7.Put a glass of water on the patched up bedside (photo) 8.under the dirty Lampshade (photo) - throw it out!!! 9.Woken up by Housekeeping before 10am [Daylight saving commenced], extremely tired. Upon exiting I notice the Smoke alarm without a cover (no photo) but seems to be another installed in the other corner. I have many weekend stays and this doesn't make the grade ; Two positives: Comfy mattress and convenient location to my event. Cannot recommend 😐

“Disappointing and hugely over priced.”

No one was at the reception, so I had to call and was told the key was under the mat. The road noise was unbearable—maybe it was just my room by the road. The room and grounds were dirty, weeds everywhere, the pool cover was littered with debris and rubbish, part of a bar of used soap was still on top of the shower screen, the shower leaked, the room was dusty, and some lights weren’t working.

“It served our purpose as we needed to be in Bendigo but it wasn’t accommodation that would stand out to us.”

It was convenient to Bendigo CBD, the room was a reasonable size with a comfy bed, but it seemed a bit lacking in lustre and could use an upgrade.
