The onsen was very nice and had a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, and the overall vibe was very peaceful. There were a fair number of spiders and other bugs, mostly dead, and they were only in the hallway, not in the room.

I loved the onsen; the staff were friendly and super helpful. The rooms were clean and roomy, and breakfast was delicious. The hallway was very cold, though.
