This small hotel just outside Foix sits in a quiet, leafy spot and made for a very relaxing stay. The host couple were friendly and attentive, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The rooms were a good size, but some bedroom and bathroom fittings were a bit old, though that didn’t take away from our stay. Depending on your view, the hotel might be too far from Foix or just the right distance, and you definitely need a car.

A peaceful country setting to unwind amid lovely gardens and fields. Our ground‑floor room with en suite was spacious and comfortable. The food was varied and delicious, served outdoors under a pergola by a charming woman who spoke excellent English. The cheese from the nearby convent was especially good. Breakfast was basic French but with freshly cooked eggs to choose from. A wholly delightful break in a hectic itinerary. I wish we could have stayed longer. No complaints.

The stone building sits a bit back from the main road, with parking at the back and a lovely garden terrace. The owner greeted us warmly and shared a lot about Foix. The ground‑floor room was roomy and the bathroom was large enough for a disabled person. We enjoyed a tasty dinner. Unfortunately, on our second night, which was a Tuesday, there was no dining service at the hotel and many of the town’s restaurants were also closed that day.

The reception was friendly, the breakfast was very good, and it was quiet, but the TV was tiny.
