The atmosphere is super cozy, a whole different world from the city’s chaos, yet still easy to reach if you want. The owner is very helpful and makes you feel at home. A lovely spot to unwind, gorgeous nearby beaches, and the nightlife of Las Terrenas is close by—highly recommended!

If you want to connect with nature and a simple, relaxed life, this is the spot; the rooms are pretty, there’s a hammock outside, plenty of greenery, dogs, a shared kitchen, and two donkeys. The host was always very kind. You have to take a taxi to reach the beaches.

I wish I could have stayed an extra day to soak in everything, but in the short time I was here I enjoyed the vibe. The hammock in front of the room is amazing for relaxing with a coffee or a beer.

The hotel is very well located and reasonably priced, the host is super friendly and gives good recommendations. The communal kitchen has a wonderful ceiling fan, very refreshing. The best are Goliat and Flora the donkeys, plus the four dogs and two cats—all very friendly. During summer nights it was scorching and there were a lot of mosquitoes, a Caribbean inevitability. A pedestal fan for the room and planting citronella around the bungalows would solve that.
