“Amazing staff”
The room was right next to the bar, so it got very noisy at night, and a Ted Talk in the dining area made it impossible to sleep.

The location was great, but the room was uncomfortable: the wardrobe was small with no space for personal items, no logical spot for phone chargers, a curtain in the shower, and the bathroom trash can had no lid. At that price they didn’t even provide water, and breakfast was very basic. They gave a $55 credit that you couldn’t spend at the hotel and didn’t even let you know they’d offered it.

Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, good quality linens and towels, a large shower with Malin & Goetz products, and a continental breakfast that included fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola—though it was small. The green juice and challah toast were good, but a grain bread would have been better. The hotel’s location is its biggest selling point. However, they tell you at check‑in that two free bottles of water are included, everything else costs 50 pesos extra. After paying $600 a night you’d expect free water. The breakfast comes with drip coffee (not great) and espresso is extra. I had black tea that was light brown and the tea bag seemed to have been removed—did they reuse it? The room was large but felt soulless and sterile; for a design‑award hotel it was a big letdown. There was barely any natural light because the two small windows were opaque. The bathroom, though large, had almost no counter space for toiletries. A small table would have been useful. The pool looked nice but only had five lounge chairs, leaving 30 people without a place to sit. I missed an outdoor lounge area to read or relax. The patio only had dining tables and chairs. I don’t understand why they won a design award or why the Michelin guide praised them.
