Bonjour, we loved the view, the terrace, the breakfast with Isabelle and the young man at the evening terrace aperitif, the pool was very pleasant, sunny and calm in the evening. The reception staff were friendly. However the room manager was not welcoming, not smiling, a disaster. The room was a bit small. The room manager was too unpleasant.

The hotel sits right on the cliff, so we booked a room with a sea view and could hear the waves when we left the window open; that alone makes us want to come back. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and good quality items. The beds were very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the heated pool. We even borrowed bikes from the hotel and cycled around the whole island. Although the building is older, it’s well maintained and the room was cozy and lovely, so we still really liked it.

The service was flawless, the staff were attentive and highly skilled. A free shuttle picked us up from the port and brought us back. Renting bikes—electric or regular—was very easy. The view is stunning and unique, and breakfast (delicious) by the sea is a real bonus. We loved our stay at Grand Large.

The spot is perfect along the GR trail, offering an unbeatable view of the sea, but the rates are a bit on the high side.
