The building feels old but charming, the room was roomy and had everything I needed, the staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and it’s just a short walk from the port to catch the ferry.

The train to Milazzo was delayed for 3 hours, so we got there after 11 pm, with no taxis available and people stuck at the station. Santina, who wasn’t scheduled to work then, came and picked us up, and the whole staff was fantastic. The place is very well situated near bars and restaurants. The shower only had a rain head, which isn’t great if you want to keep your hair dry; you’ll need a shower cap.

The location was excellent, and the staff were polite and welcoming. Parking was on the street, but we found it quickly and it was free.
