“The road noise was unbearable”

The room was a decent size and close to downtown—maybe a bit too close; the biggest issue is the road noise, which is the worst I’ve experienced anywhere, making it hard to fall asleep.

The price was decent enough, but the room had an odor and water was leaking somewhere in the floor tiles. There were only a few outlets far from the bed, and on Friday and Saturday nights the main street was full of racing cars.

“Avoid at all costs”

The shower water was pleasantly hot, yet the place felt rundown and pricier than a Motel 6 on the same street. No microwave or desk was available, and the heating/cooling unit sounded loud and unreliable. The showerhead stuck on a single harsh setting that sprayed unevenly. A stained sheet was present, and the overall vibe was low‑class, with trash in the parking lot and what looked like prostitution. The office was rarely staffed and lacked air conditioning; checking in took at least 15 minutes. TV service was hit‑or‑miss, probably due to poor internet. While Washington Street is convenient for walking or transit during the day, late nights bring obnoxious whining and loud revving engines. The “temple view” claim is a stretch—the temple was several blocks away, not across the street. Finally, the wall outlets were so worn that a phone charger barely stayed in place or connected properly.

“Never again”

The hotel was old and worn out, but after the room was sold I received another suite. The staff were friendly and helpful, though the location on a busy main street had drag racing and prostitution.

The hotel had its good points - the room was spotless and the bed was super comfy with plenty of space to move around. However, things took a turn when I was asked to pay a deposit upfront, which I never got back. To make matters worse, when I tried to contact the hotel to sort it out, no one picked up the phone.
