The cleaning was fine, the air conditioning worked, the TV was okay and the mattress was acceptable. However, breakfast should have been offered, I had to deal with a maintenance issue in my bathroom (the toilet was loose), and replying to a simple "good morning" didn't feel right.

A decent value for the price and the spot is great, but the room is very plain and the ceiling is moldy, something a quick clean would fix. No breakfast and no elevator, so carrying a heavy suitcase up even to the first floor can be tough. I've stayed in all kinds of hotels, so I thought it was a good deal, but I later found a much better value elsewhere and moved there the next night (Frota Palace).
