Clean room with many thoughtful extras that are becoming rarer these days, very friendly owners/operators, the area was safe to walk around. No hot water at 22:00 for a shower, probably should add another geyser to the system.

The guest house was excellent, with hosts Darius and Vincent. The large room had a super luxurious mattress and pillows, and the bathroom was spacious with double basins and a large shower. The furniture was nice. They offered complimentary coffee, tea, and biscotti, and the welcome note with chocolates was a special personal touch. Breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed meeting Jasper, the French Poodle, and Jasmyn, the Labradoodle. The garden was beautiful. Zero negatives.

Battiss House has been our Pretoria home away from home for the past six years. Vincent and Darius are amazing hosts. The interior of the rooms and the surrounding garden is beautiful, and their breakfasts are the best! The location is very central in Pretoria East, well connected to Lynnwood, Brooklyn, and Waterkloof—close to The Village with excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and interesting artisan shops. Highly recommended accommodation.
