The landlord was very nice, helpful, and could speak fluent German, so communication was optimal. For hikers, the location of the accommodation is very good. You can walk to Petit Ballon and Grand Ballon and many other hiking destinations without a car. The pleasant little wine towns at the foot of the Vosges and Colmar are also reachable in about 30 minutes by car. I can only recommend the accommodation further. The room had neither a wardrobe to store your things nor a shelf to keep something on. Those are the only limitations of the accommodation.

I rode in on my motorcycle and was worried I’d run out of fuel, but Daniel, the helpful host, handed me a canister of petrol right away. The house is wonderfully situated and my room was clean and spacious. The highlight was the bathtub with whirlpool functions—perfect after a long drive through the Vosges. Breakfast was excellent: baguette, croissant, ham, cheese, various jams, fruit salad, and everything else one could wish for. Overall, a highly recommendable place, with nothing to complain about.

The room was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. The location is simply idyllic, tucked away in a charming farm far from the city bustle, making it the perfect spot to disconnect. Its proximity to the Grand Ballon is a major advantage for exploring the area. Everything was impeccable, so I strongly recommend it.
