Okay for the price. Nice room and good kitchen, both bathroom and toilet conditions are fine considering the price. There is a lot of noise, but it was of minor importance for us for a single overnight stay.

I used Folsted as a stopover between Hjørring Kro and Hotel Tannishus, and of course I didn’t like the lack of buses on the weekend!

The accommodation was solid and self‑check‑in gave flexible arrival times, with a dedicated parking spot and nicely designed common areas. The nearby river park is surprisingly good for a small town and is a great place to stretch after a drive; the local grocery store and petrol station were handy in the morning, and for evening relaxation the adjacent bar is worth a visit, plus the pizzeria across the street is a bonus. I would have preferred the main entrance to the building to be locked at night, perhaps with a keypad lock, and the shared bathroom had a clogged shower drain while the bathroom in the room still bore marks from previous occupants.
