I arrived to find the hostel completely shut down, no signage at all, and the deposit had already been taken—no refund offered. The place was closed and I was left in the dark with no warning.

Het hostel was gesloten omdat het gerenoveerd werd; na een lange reis stonden we voor een gesloten deur en konden we niemand bereiken, wat een grote tegenvaller was.

The spot is great, but the shower in the upstairs bathroom where my room was broken, and a sign had been up for a while indicating it was expected to be out of order, so the maintenance problem had lingered for a long time.
