The staff do everything they can to keep you comfortable, the estate is gorgeous and the villas are excellent, the local breakfast is impressive, and if you’re into kite you can be picked up or dropped off right at the hotel’s dock—perfect for unwinding, though it’s a bit remote, but that can be fixed with a quick 5‑minute walk.

We spent six days at Luna Laguna, drawn by the promise of peace, quiet, and water sports, but the surrounding area fell short of our expectations: it’s not very touristy, littered along the roads, and offers limited water‑sport options. One afternoon we tried kayaking, yet the current was too strong for enjoyment, and only a handful of decent beach restaurants were nearby. Luna Laguna itself, however, felt like a completely different world. As a small boutique hotel with just a few rooms, it exudes a peaceful, personal vibe, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. The open‑air bathrooms sometimes bring unexpected visitors—one evening we even found a frog in our toilet! That’s part of the natural charm. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional staff: from the moment we arrived they went out of their way to keep us comfortable. A dedicated contact person was always available to arrange or answer anything, breakfast was tailored for us, lunch could be scheduled on demand, and dinner was absolutely delicious. They even accommodated our daughter’s preferences, which we appreciated deeply. Although the surroundings didn’t meet our hopes, the hospitality, personal service, peaceful atmosphere, and fantastic food made our stay unforgettable. The place is incredible and stunningly beautiful, housed in a colonial building with meticulous décor and attentive staff. The meals are a delight, thanks to a chef and his team who are committed to excellence with good ingredients—go for it without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed. There’s a kite‑surf spot nearby, but otherwise there aren’t many attractions; it’s truly a spot to relax and unwind. The only downside was the condition of the canoes, which were a bit outdated.

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms and a magnificent view of the lagoon. We were upgraded because the hotel was empty, and the pool was lovely. The dinners were delicious. It’s a bit out of the way, but we had a car, so getting around was no problem.
