Salamao Bungalow

It was cheap and close to the beach, and the host was friendly when we asked for something. However, the bungalow sits right next to the forest, so ants invade the bathroom and you can’t go to the toilet or brush your teeth without first soaking the room with the shower head. Another important point: the road where the bungalow is on is steep, so when you bring your luggage down you have to watch it so it doesn’t drag you. That means when you go to the beach, even though it’s not far, the return trip is really rough 😅. There was no mosquito net on the bed, only at the door. Luckily I brought my own, for mosquitoes, spiders, and ants.

“Quasi campeggio”

The location is beautiful, and if you don’t want to move from there it’s fine. It was scorching hot, and there was a lot of nature, including snakes and salamanders.

“Peaceful cabin”

The cabin was very comfortable with ocean views. A short walk leads to the amazing Tanote Bay, perfect for snorkeling. Bring mosquito repellent and coils for the balcony.

You’ll need a bike if you’re staying there. The fan could be better.

“Moyen..”

The bungalows perched in the jungle were a real change of scenery, and I could watch a bunch of squirrels from my room. The owner was very welcoming and pleasant. I booked two bungalows, the 1 and the 4, but they were old. Especially bungalow 1 had a wall crack, dirty terrace cushions, and the shower water smelled awful. The cleaning on arrival was minimal – spider webs and cocoons everywhere. The hotel grounds were untidy, and the slope leading down to the beach was steep, so be careful.
