Kingsmede Bed & Breakfast

“Very enjoyable stay.”

The breakfast was tasty and hot, the spot was ideal—just a short walk from all the places I wanted to see—and the owner was very friendly, helpful, and competent. I’d definitely come back and would recommend Kingsmede to friends and family. I was satisfied with the accommodation overall.

“Cosy home away from home in a beautiful location”

Set in a picturesque little village, this b&b is a charming old building with lovely gardens and quaint decor. It's a small place, with just a few rooms plus common sitting room and garden, so it felt like staying in a family home rather than a hotel. Chris and Kelly are warm and friendly hosts who really care about their guests. It was great chatting with Chris about the local area, history, and animals. When we were sat out in the garden looking at the stars, Kelly came out to bring us some blankets which was very sweet. Breakfast was great and the 'red squirrel room' was cosy and cute, with all the comforts you'd need such as toiletries and fresh milk. The only thing I didn't like - and I'm being really picky here - was the bed linen. I prefer white sheets and pillowcases over dark colours

The property is charming, offers plenty of parking, has lovely rooms, and the surroundings are very quiet and welcoming. There isn’t anything we didn’t like about it.

“loved it, great base and would stay again”

The host was lovely, the B&B was nice, the shower was great, and the breakfast was scrumptious. The only downside was the thick duvet and hard pillows, but that’s a personal preference.

Chris (and his mum!) took great care of us, and the breakfast was good. There was nothing to dislike.
