Hotel Meyer

A charming old house, but the start of my stay had a few hiccups—room cleaning, the safe, and the windows. Mistakes happen, and what matters is how they’re handled; the young man at reception was utterly professional, courteous, and very helpful. I felt taken seriously as a guest and left the place with a genuinely good impression. I’ll definitely come back!

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and the location was practical. The bathroom was nice with skylight daylight. I arrived at 23:00 and the key‑safe only worked after the 6th or 7th try, which was extremely stressful since I was traveling alone. The room was large and quiet, but the carpet (!!!) was heavily tangled, as was the sofa, and it was obvious that the room hadn’t been renovated – old, worn furnishings. Compared with my last night at Maritim Ingolstadt for €40 more, this room was clearly overpriced.

Having stayed here several times, I really like this place: the rooms are big and cozy with everything you need (even a small fridge) and no pretentiousness, everything is very clean, entry is simple with a code and a key box, the location is perfect right next to the pedestrian zone yet quiet at night, public parking is free after 6 pm, and the staff are very friendly; however, depending on the room you might hear partying guests from nearby bars, which is out of the hotel’s control.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, and early check‑in is possible. Unfortunately, there is no air‑conditioning or fan in the room.
