The place was in a convenient spot. The building felt very old, the shower pressure was low, and the cold water didn’t work—only hot water was available. It was very old‑fashioned, but that might be the intended look.

The townhouse on Prinsengracht was stunning, and the room was super cozy—especially the bed—and it came stocked with toiletries and drinks. We were lucky to catch the annual Prinsengrachtconcert from our window. The only downside was that the property is accessed by steep stairs typical of Amsterdam townhouses, and the bed sits close to the window so street noise can be heard; earplugs were provided for comfort.

The property’s location was fantastic, right on the 9 streets and very close to the Anne Frank House. Even though it’s centrally located, it felt quaint and within walking distance of all the places you’d want to visit in Amsterdam. The owner lives on the floor above and was very friendly, and we had a great time!
