It was wonderful to sleep on a futon in a traditional tatami room. The location was perfect, close to the fountain and the shopping streets. Everything was fine.

The staff were super helpful and the food was lovely, especially the onsens. The only downside was the smell in the room, which made it clear the building is old.

This ryokan was very traditional and formal, just as we expected. The room was huge, with traditional bedding. The staff were very attentive and discreet. The traditional meal was… traditional but excellent!

The staff at Osakaya Ryokan were exceptional; from the start we felt taken care of, and having the same staff member throughout the stay added a personal touch. She ensured my pregnant wife received food that suited her, even if it required last‑minute dinner changes. The food itself was outstanding, beautifully presented and delicious. The location is fabulous, and the ryokan onsens were completely empty during our visit, making for a very peaceful experience.
