They had no room or any of the requests we had confirmed and paid for; the desk clerk was rude, refused a refund after 4 pm, called the cops on us, and had us removed from the property—no refund, no room. I misplaced my complaint in the wrong box, but it still upsets me how we were treated; we were on our 50th anniversary, had spent two weeks out west, and planned another week, yet after this incident we headed home the next day. My husband, a retired minister, tried to speak to the clerk, but she wouldn’t even look at him. I wasn’t the most polite after being told there was no room and no refund; the clerk clearly needs customer‑service training, and this ruined our trip. We ended up at a Comfort Inn down the street and got a great room with respect.

The location off the interstate made it easy to get back on the road, but the room was dirty, the floor wasn’t clean, the shower stall had soap scum, the bed was uneven, there was trash under the bed, and the maid wasn’t nice.
