The house sits in a prime spot surrounded by nature and close to everything—highway, supermarkets, restaurants—so the area is super quiet. It keeps the old mill structure, giving it a cozy rustic vibe, and we were pleasantly surprised by a welcome gift. A few improvements would help: add a sofa in the living area, bring more light near the stove (the kitchen was a bit dim), and have an extra heater for the living room since the fireplace doesn’t warm the whole house.

The place is right next to the river beach, which is great. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning.

The building and the surrounding area with the river and a nearby café were nice. The noise from cars passing by on the side was too loud.

We stayed at Casa do Tamanquiero, a lovely historic home with two bedrooms and two baths on a large property. Absolutely amazing! It felt like stepping back in time thanks to the decor and age of the stone building, yet it had all modern amenities. Loved soaking in the bathtub.

We loved the character of this little watermill and swimming in the mill stream. Such a perfect place to stay. The welcome tray of wine and nibbles was a lovely touch—thank you. Instructions on how to warm the shower water would have been helpful, but that didn’t spoil our visit.
