“Nice hotel but needs to improve service”
The hotel is a very beautiful place with colonial style, the rooms are very beautiful, beds are big, bathrooms are big, and it’s in a great location just a short walk from the night market and the Mekong River. I asked for clean bedsheets, towels, and a working AC upon arrival, but when I got into the room the AC had a problem and the swinging gate for the air didn’t work; it was hanging down broken, which made a noise as the AC tried to move it. They moved us to another room that felt like a downgrade; in the new room the towels had stains and when I asked for a change the woman seemed annoyed and sent another guy to attend me. When we opened the bed, the sheets had stains too; the bedsheets seemed older than me—I’m 40 yo. I didn’t want to complain again as they seemed annoyed the first time and I was going to be there just one night. I believe it was washed but just not a minimum care to make it cleaner or retire it; they just keep using it. Only two small and thin body towels were given, so you have to use them for hand‑washing and showering. The showerhead was never cleaned. The TV wasn’t plugged in and behind the TV was full of dust as it hadn’t been cleaned for more than a year. The breakfast was really poor; I had to go out to find something else so I wouldn’t feel hungry. Even the photos shown for choosing the meal are not the same they give to you; the honey on the pancake was liquid as water, it’s not honey.
