“See paris9”
Free Wi‑Fi was available, and the room had a fan, plenty of cupboard space, and a lift. The room was small—just enough for three people or three suitcases—and it was adequate and fit for purpose. The beds were very comfortable, and the room looked better than the website photos, though the decor was a little dated, which is understandable for an old building. The ensuite bathroom was modern, with a large shower and excellent water pressure. We were on the third floor at the front of the building, and the double glazing eliminated most traffic noise. I booked for three people, paying £900 for five days, and the Saint‑Germain area was brilliant—walking distance to most attractions, a station, and a bus stop right outside. A taxi to Gare du Nord cost €30 or less. I brought a kettle and toaster, which could be used in the room; there are only two round‑pin sockets, so you need two 2‑pin plugs, not three, as the sockets are recessed. Breakfast is extra‑priced, but you can use the microwave without issues. I stayed from 26 September to 1 October. It’s a basic hotel; I’ve stayed in more expensive ones, but for the price and the location, I’d definitely return. I’ve written longer reviews before, but this one is the longest I’ve bothered to write. Let’s face it, you’ll see Paris, not stay in a hotel room—good luck.
