“Excellent location for the Summers End Festival. Lovely bedroom, Great breakfast & a friendly pub.”
The breakfast was excellent with a good selection, and everything else was fine.

The location, comfort, staff, breakfast, and value were all great, and the pub was a bonus. The only issue was having to leave the car before 8 am to buy another parking ticket; the barman warned that parking wardens sometimes patrol there to catch people, but it wasn’t a major problem.

The 24‑hour car park next to the pub cost only £7 a night, and the pub itself is right beside the castle; its food is served from 12 to 3 pm, but that’s fine because restaurants are just a 2‑minute walk away. The pub and bedroom were spotless and everything worked perfectly, and the staff were all lovely and made us feel very welcome. The real highlight was breakfast, the best we’ve ever had after staying all over the UK, thanks to the two ladies who cooked and served it—thank you, thank you, thank you.

Everything was perfect at this hotel. Nothing else to add.

The room was extremely comfortable and had everything you could need, and breakfast was great too. We stayed in Ashbourne House next to the Three Tuns, which stayed very quiet even while the band played on Saturday. We couldn’t find any fault with our stay and would definitely come back.
