Everything was as we expected, and the view was even better. The concierge was very helpful with other matters. The bed, however, squeaked.

The mattress was very thin, the bed made a lot of noise, the blinds were broken, and the kitchen was poorly maintained. The only positives were the views and the location; everything else didn’t appeal to me. The owner didn’t explain the check‑in time clearly, and the noise from the neighbors was annoying. The kitchen was somewhat dirty, the bed was somewhat old and noisy, and the mattress was very thin.

“Avoid”

The towels and pillows had a bad odor, and the furniture was in a state of disrepair—everything squeaked, from the doors and handles to the bed and toilet lid. The room was basic, with only a few old IKEA pieces, and the host seemed to have turned the place into a cash grab. The bathroom sits in the middle of the corridor, forcing you to walk past another guest’s room to reach it, and the kitchen is unusable for cooking. There’s no private kettle or shower as advertised, and no front desk, so the property isn’t a hotel, meaning the Napoli council will tack on an extra Airbnb tourist fee of 5.5 € per person per day, which the host relentlessly pursues until paid.
