Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Seiunkaku

Before the renovation, the food at Seiun‑kaku was pretty ordinary, but after staying this time the dishes looked appealing and tasted far better, leaving me quite satisfied; the only drawback was the dated bathroom, though everything else suggests the overhaul was a success. The bathroom feels old‑fashioned and there’s only one open‑air bath, which is a disappointment.

“楽しかった”

The kids had a blast playing, but a sudden guerrilla thunderstorm cut the fun short; the room lacked a bathtub so we didn’t have time to visit the hot spring, and it would have been nice to have a shower after using the playground, plus I wish Häagen‑Dazs ice cream were available at the breakfast buffet.

I appreciated the drinks they brought after the bath and the upscale feel of the shower head, but the foot‑massage machine in the spa had bits of white skin on it, which made my feet itch afterward, and the room’s curtains had no lace, leaving me feeling exposed to the outside.

“ご飯が美味しく満足しています。”

The facilities were clean, spacious and comfortable, and I liked finding a drink dispenser and ice‑pop stand right before the large public bath; the onsen water was a bit too hot to stay in for long, and there was no laundry service on the premises.
