I liked the location, but I couldn't pay in cash during a busy weekend, the bed was positioned oddly, only one out of three bulbs worked in the bathroom, the shower curtain looked like it was from 500 BCE, and for 160 euros a night I could have stayed in a tent with a good tarp and a headlamp and it would have been fine.

The staff/person was very friendly and prepared the basement room, the buffet was delicious and plentiful. It’s a small building in a residential street and not too large. The courtyard at the back is very spacious and leafy. The acoustics of the other rooms were an issue.

The room was small but cozy, a bit dated but clean and tidy, and getting to the hotel by metro from central Paris was a breeze; I was traveling alone and wanted to avoid walking at night, so it was perfect.

The hotel is just 2 minutes from a metro entrance and 15 minutes by metro from Gare Montparnasse.

The place was well‑situated, close to the city center and the metro station, but there was no wifi for the duration of my stay, and when I showered the water dripped onto the floor below, causing minor issues.
