The dry room was useful, and the bar around the corner was convenient. However, the room was as small as advertised… very small.
“Great place to stay while doing the West Highland Way.”
The bed was incredibly comfortable; my husband said it was the best night’s sleep he’d had. A small shed beside the room held tea, coffee, a fridge, and even our luggage from the baggage handler, which was handy. The location was fantastic, right next to Loch Lomond. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Rowardennan Hotel, just a stone’s throw away, and it was very nice and welcoming. The host greeted us warmly and made both us and our dog feel right at home.

The room was a nice compact space, very quiet, and right on the loch!
“Excellent option for us as we didn’t want to camp.”
The place was spotless and cozy, the bathroom was lovely, and there was enough room to stash bags under the bed and hang clothes. I especially enjoyed the drying room and the tea and coffee station, and the proximity to the excellent Bothy Bar was a big plus. The mattress, though, wasn’t very comfortable.
“We survived the night”
The pub was nice, but the room was far too small for what we paid. It turned out to be the most expensive booking on the West Highland Way route, and even the hobbit huts offered more space with a kettle and fridge.
