The hotel building was beautiful, the location was great in a town full of very old buildings, and the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were small and the traffic on the road outside the window made it hard to sleep with the window open.

We were greeted perfectly upon arrival, the room was clean and welcoming, but the sliding door to the bathroom lacked a proper locking mechanism and struggled to stay closed. It was very hot, and although a second fan was offered, it wasn’t enough; the window faced the sunny façade and main road, so we had to keep it open with curtains drawn and fans running. In short, it was too hot, too noisy, and too bright. The exterior of the hotel is puzzling at first glance, yet the interior is charming, very clean, and the staff are helpful and pleasant. The interior setting, parking, and reception were problematic.
