Breakfast was generous, varied, well cooked and well presented, but the two main meals I had were very generous yet not very well cooked; on one evening the fish was good but the potatoes and carrots were very undercooked, and on the second evening my carvery choices were acceptable but the vegetables missed the mark.

The food was great and the location was excellent, though there was a small issue with a leaking shower and the restaurant was a bit slow in bringing orders.

The cooked breakfast and choices were very good, staff were extremely helpful, the room and linen were spotless and the bed comfortable; however the shower over the bath posed a slipping danger without a mat so I couldn’t use it safely, the pillows were very rigid, there was no fridge or bottled water in the room, and the carpets throughout look very dated and should be changed.
