The view of nature was amazing, but none of the promises were kept. The bathtub didn’t work, the shower never got hot, and the fireplace wouldn’t light.

The cabins are comfy and clean, close to town and Lake São Bernardo. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the cabin was tasty and full. The only hiccup was that the hot tub has set times because of the local water supply, so you can’t just hop in whenever you want.

The bed and shower were top‑notch. But the firewood rules were a pain – you can’t bring your own, and they only hand out wood after you finish. I asked to leave some in the cabin for an early morning fire, but they didn’t give it, so we left as soon as we woke. The area around the chalet was a mess, and we didn’t bother going back to the front desk because of the price. Maybe add a sink with a tap, the tub takes up too much space, and in winter a standing fan is just a space hog.

The location is gorgeous with a stunning view, the cabin looks nice, and breakfast is pretty good. On the downside, there was no AC, the hot tub didn’t work, and they only gave us a tiny pile of firewood even though we were staying 24 hours. When I complained about the hot tub, they kept dragging it out; the water froze, the pipes broke, and even if it worked, they’d only let you use it once at a scheduled time.

The stay was awful. The heater couldn’t warm the cabin, the coffee was cold, and the firewood was wet. In the mornings we were freezing because the heater was off, and we couldn’t shower – the notice only applied to the hot tub.
