This stay turned out to be our favorite in Alaska, almost a hidden gem in Seward. Jan welcomed us like family and took care of every request, and the room felt like a cozy home away from home. She also tipped us off where to see bald eagles around town. I do wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

Jan’s place was clean, quiet, and close to all the places we wanted to hit. The breakfast spread was incredible—we ate every morning! Jan is a sweet, hospitable lady, and I highly recommend her.

The spot is great, just north of town, and a few miles from the salmon ladder/fishery during the run. It’s quiet, comfortable, and feels like a home you’d visit again. Jan is a wonderful innkeeper and I’d return right away—highly recommend her home for a Seward stay.

The room had plenty of space and an independent entrance, plus a fully equipped shared kitchen that made the stay very comfortable. The owner was very kind and the place is beautiful, so I recommend it wholeheartedly. Nothing was missing—everything was perfect.
