The Thames-side location was great, and it wasn't far from London Heathrow or Twickenham. The pub was huge and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were well-equipped and spotless, offering good value for money. The downside was that the rooms sit above the pub, so depending on the pub’s operation it can get a bit loud…

The staff were friendly and the pub had a great vibe. However, the room and bathroom furniture were worn out. Adjusting the shower temperature was difficult, and the slanted roof over the sink made brushing teeth a bit awkward.

I had a large, clean room with solid facilities, and the pub was lovely and in a superb spot near Richmond without the usual price tag. Breakfast was tasty, featuring croissants, toast, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, yoghurt, fruit, and cooked options. It was a good deal overall. The only flaw was the mattress on the double bed – it was very uncomfortable, so my husband and I had to sleep on the quilt with small blankets over us because the springs were still felt through it. A replacement would solve the issue.

The location was convenient, the staff were welcoming, the private bathroom was directly opposite the room, and breakfast was fine. The TV was hard to navigate and the signal often dropped. Having to register for every channel I wanted was annoying, so I avoided watching anything. I was lucky to snag one of the free parking spots at Lion Wharf, but I’m not sure what I would have done without it.

The staff were friendly, the pub was nice, the room was clean, there were plenty of fresh towels, and the location suited me. The door lock was problematic – the key got stuck sometimes. The bed was very uncomfortable. The building is old with thin walls and floors; I stayed on the first floor and didn’t sleep well because the room above me seemed to be playing football until about 4.30 am. The TV had no working terrestrial channels (BBC, ITV, etc.), and the channels that did work stopped around 8 pm and never returned. I was traveling alone, so this was quite frustrating.
